قال الصحفي البريطاني "روبرت فيسك"، في تقرير له على صحيفة "الإندبندنت": "هناك تقارير عن أن جماعة الإخوان تفيد بأنهم قد يقبلوا خوض الانتخابات البرلمانية المقبلة".
وعقّب على ذلك، قائلاً: "أظن أن هذا يمكن أن يحدث"، مشيرًا إلى أن جماعة الإخوان كانوا دائما على استعداد للتسلل من خلف ظهور مناصريهم، والتعاون مع الأشرار.
وأضاف: "هم في النهاية لم يرغبوا في الثورة على مبارك، بينما كان شباب الثوار يتعرضون لطلقات النار القاتلة في التحرير عام 2011، كان رجال الإخوان يتفاوضون مع اللواء عمر سليمان، الرئيس المخيف لمخابرات مبارك، أحد من تفاوضوا يومها باسم الإخوان كان محمد مرسي نفسه".
